Winemaker of the year - London
In 1996/97, Willi Opitz was the first Austrian to be awarded the title of “Late Harvest Winemaker of the Year” in London.
Opitz One (red dry berry selection) has even been included in two best-selling wine books: “The 1000 Finest Wines Ever Made” and “1001 Wines You Must Try Before You Die.”

As a sought-after speaker, Willi Opitz inspires audiences at international events and shares his passion for wine with a global audience. Over decades, he has established and shaped wineries in regions such as Cornwall, Italy, England, Finland, Transylvania, and Armenia.
For several years now, he has also been offering exclusive wine coaching and consulting services—from developing strong brands to creating complete product lines.
These tailor-made concepts combine tradition, innovation, and market understanding to create unique solutions for wineries and wine projects around the world.

The design for the POLE POSITION® series, developed in collaboration with Willi Opitz, uses TRUSTSEAL® technology to combine a forgery-proof marking system with an impressive optical depth effect.
The special feature: diffractive structures that change their visual dynamics from different viewing angles.
Dark elements glow green when tilted, creating a fascinating visual movement.
Dynamic and static effects create a three-dimensional perception.
Grayscale elements change their brightness when the label is tilted to the right.
This collaboration once again underscores the innovative character and the highest standards with which every Opitz wine is developed.

To reach our private car park, please drive along Schellgasse 5. It is the large curved driveway on the left-hand side, lined with cypress trees and oleander bushes!
